Spanish newspaper Marca claims Wolfsburg are keen to bring Metzelder back to Germany and will make a move for the defender in the summer.
Metzelder joined Real Madrid from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2007, but has failed to make an impact in the Spanish captial.
