The 36 year old has signed a two year deal which is the most lucrative in the history of Brazilian football for a foreign player.
The club announced: “Botafogo have formalised a contract with the Dutch midfielder Clarence Seedorf, who is 36.
“Seedorf has signed a deal for two years with Botafogo.
“It is the biggest contract for a foreigner made by a Brazilian football club.”
