Players are locked in a dispute over plans to allow clubs to force players with a year left on their contracts to move to sides of equal standings whilst also forcing players who are surplus to requirements out of the first team squad.
Maurizio Beretta, the League’s president, described talks aimed at averting the strike as “positive”, adding that “I think it’s very likely that the strike will be called off. Finally, we have tackled the issues and we are in agreement on six points.”
