The new deal will keep the 22-year-old goalkeeper at Kaiserslautern until the summer of 2013.
“The meetings with Tobias Sippel have been very harmonious since the beginning and we were always headed toward a new deal,” sporting director Stefan Kuntz said on the club’s official website.
“We are pleased to have tied another important first team player to the club for two more years.”
“I’m very happy to have signed a new deal and to continue playing for Kaiserslautern,” said Sippel.
“Not only because I’m feeling at home here, but also because I’m looking forward to being part of the big plans this club has for the future.”
