Sorensen claims he turned down a move to one of Europe’s leading clubs in order to stay with Stoke and sign a new deal.
“It wasn’t long ago and it was an unofficial enquiry.” Sorensen told spn.dk.
“It was from one of the biggest clubs (in Europe), but it was not what I am looking for at the moment.
“My ambition is to play at the highest possible level. That is the World Cup with the national team and European competitions with the club.
“I am happy where I am, but if an offer does come, it will be hard to refuse.”
