The 25-year-old was strongly linked with both Stoke and Newcastle in the January transfer window.
Huseklepp has signed a new deal that will keep him at the club until 2013.
“I am pleased,” Huseklepp told TV2. “I can now concentrate on the football.
“In case I had been selfish, I could have waited until my contract expires, but I don’t want to leave the club on a free transfer.”
