The 30 year old had been on loan at Southend in the opening weeks of the season and completes a permanent move on a free transfer.
Sturrock told the club’s official website: “Chris has done exceptionally well for us so far.
“He has shown that he is comfortable at left-back or centre-back and I am delighted to have him him on board permanently.”
