Hans Backe quit the job as Notts County boss earlier this week.
Taylor told the Nottingham Evening Post: “I have not had any contact with Notts County but it is a job I would be interested in, the same as last time.
“Sven knows Hans very well and he chose him for the job last time but it might be a different situation now, you never know.
“I know the level Notts are at very well and I know a lot of players.
“It is all right me saying I would be interested though, it’s up to the club.
“But it would be disrespectful for me to say I wasn’t interested in the job because Notts County is a very good football club.”
