The Latics are currently in the bottom half of the Premier League table.
“Well we’re going to work hard because we lost a couple of numbers that we didn’t expect to lose during the season and obviously I am very, very happy with the squad,” he told Sky Sports News.
“But we need to bring a few faces just to help the players we’ve got in because the second half of the season is going to be very, very demanding.
“It’s always difficult in January to do the right thing, but we’ve been working hard to try to bring the right players and hopefully the ones that will come in will help the ones we’ve got.”
