The 20-year-old impressed for the Wigan reserve team last season and is delighted to have won a new deal at the DW Stadium.
“I am really happy to be given another year at Wigan,” Routledge told Sky Sports.
“I just want to keep working harder and harder, as well as making a bigger impact with the first-team squad next season and make it a good year for me and Wigan.”
