Windass set to return to Hull

The 39-year-old frequently found himself on the bench for the League One side.

Hull assistant manager Brian Horton told the Hull Daily Mail: “He’s come in and he’s lively.

“Deano has gone to Oldham and it hasn’t worked out, so we’ll have to see what he can do.

“At the moment, it’s being worked out with [club secretary] Phil Hough and the manager as to where he can go, can he come back, can’t he come back?

“There’s nothing been resolved at the moment, but he can’t play in The Premier League. We’re trying to work out if he could play in the reserves but we’ll see what happens.

“There are stories in the paper that he could be coaching but nothing has been resolved at the moment.”
