Capello decided to quit his job following the Football Association’s decision to strip John Terry of the captaincy.
“It was his decision,” Zoff told Itasportpress.
“I think the conditions he found himself in were the reason he resigned. I expect he made all the considerations and did the right thing.
“Naturally, I don’t know the details, but I believe he made the right decision.”
