Jussi set for new Wigan deal

Wigan manager Gary Caldwell has hinted that he would like to offer goalkeeper Jussi Jaaskelainen a new contract.

The 40-year-old has impressed for the Latics this season, but his contract is set to expire at the end of the season.

“Jussi’s somebody I would love to keep at the club,” Caldwell told the Wigan Observer.

“We haven’t really spoken about it, because we’re obviously in the thick of a promotion push. But I’m sure it’s something we will look at come the end of the season.”
