Premier League 2024 January transfer window: Ontheminute.com have an overview of every deal that was completed in the 2024 January transfer window closes now that it is over.

In the 2023 January transfer window, Premier League clubs significantly reined in their spending compared to the previous year, where they outspent the combined total of the other four major European leagues. This cautious approach was influenced by Financial Fair Play regulations, which put clubs like Everton, Nottingham Forest, Chelsea, and Manchester City under the microscope for their lavish expenditures.

Manchester United streamlined their squad by arranging several loan exits; Jadon Sancho returned to Borussia Dortmund, Donny van de Beek headed to Eintracht Frankfurt, Hannibal was loaned out to Sevilla, and Alvaro Fernandez made a temporary move to Benfica. Additionally, Sergio Reguilon’s loan from Tottenham was cut short, paving his way to Brentford.

Tottenham bolstered their ranks early in the window, securing Timo Werner and Radu Dragusin, while Brighton and Manchester City enhanced their youthful prospects by acquiring Valentin Barco and Claudio Echeverri, respectively. Kalvin Phillips’ loan switch to West Ham emerged as one of the window’s standout transfers.

Tottenham’s acquisition of Radu Dragusin for €25m was the biggest deal in the Premier League in the 2024 January transfer window, with Adam Wharton’s move to Crystal Palace following closely.

Manchester City made strategic adjustments by transferring Nahuel Ferraresi and Zack Steffen while arranging a loan for Lewis Fiorini. Their notable departure was Kalvin Phillips to West Ham. Manchester City signed Claudio Echeverri from River Plate, but the midfielder will stay on loan at the Argentine side until January 2025.
