Terry has been out with a nerve problem in his leg since the win over Fulham a couple of weeks ago.
“I hope John Terry will be back for next week,” Ancelotti told Sky Sports.
“He will start to train on Tuesday and I hope everything is okay.”
Alex is set to undergo surgery on a knee problem next week.
“Obviously we hope to recover John Terry,” Ancelotti continued.
“He is important to us he is a fantastic player, has personality and it is important we have him back for the next game.
“He [Alex] will have the operation this week. He will go to Brazil for the surgery, maybe tomorrow [Monday].”
