AIC confirms Serie A strike

The Italian Players’ Association, AIC, and the clubs’ union, LEGA, have failed to agree on a new collective bargaining agreement after the last contract expired at the end of last season.

They reportedly disagree over two issues that the clubs want. The clubs want to be able to force unwanted players to train away from the first team.

The clubs are also looking to force players to pay a new government solidarity tax that applies to high-wage earners.
