Beckham believes the Three Lions are confident enough to win the World Cup.
“Fabio Capello and his staff have given us this mentality, that we can beat anyone,” Beckham is quoted by The Sun as saying.
“Look at the [qualifying] campaign. We topped the group and went into every game believing we could win.”
He added: “If you are going to go far in the competition you are going to have to beat the best teams.
“At this point, when you go into a World Cup, I don’t think you worry about who you’re playing against.
“It’s great to be seeded – and I was surprised that France are not seeded – but if you want to go all the way, you’re going to play the best teams at some point. Whoever you come up against, it doesn’t really matter.”
