Lee wants referee Simon Przdacz to view video evidence from the match, as the defender could miss the start of the Premiership season due to the sending off.
He said: “I have asked the official to review his decision and he said he will talk to the tournament organisers. If the decision stands then we could face losing Nicky for some matches when the Premier League starts.”
