Courtois is undergoing a medical with the Premier League club after they agreed a deal with Genk to sign the youngster.
Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas told the club’s official website: “At this moment he is having a medical but has not yet agreed personal terms.”
Chelsea added on their official website: “It is not expected that he will join up with the squad in Asia should the transfer be completed in time.”
