The 27-year-old has been out of action since November after an initial knee surgery, but now he needs further surgery.
“Bosingwa will be out for the season and have another operation, so that’s him unfortunately, and he’ll miss the World Cup as well,” said Chelsea assistant Ray Wilkins.
