Savage’s contract with Derby is set to expire at the end of the season and the former Wales international held talks with Vancouver earlier this month about a possible move.
“I’m going to stay here,” Savage said on Twitter. “Canada was a great option but it was too big a move for my family.”
Savage is unlikely to get a new contract at Derby.
