The Groningen striker was expected to join Hamburg, but reports suggest the 22-year-old’s move broke down.
“I have played sometimes against Marcus Berg and he is a killer in front of goal,” he told Bild.
“He is a great player that scores loads of goals with his head, but also with his feet. For me he appears to be quite similar to someone like Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.”
