Ronaldinho have revealed he turned down the chance to play for Brazil against Venezuela and Colombia in order to stay and work on his fitness at Milan.
“I have seen him looking very good and in much better shape,” Emerson told Sky Sport Italia.
“He is doing everything to get back to being the Ronaldinho we all know.
“He’s training really hard and I think he has asked to stay rather than go to Brazil because he wants to give something extra.
“Now he has the chance to train without having to get on a plane and make a 15 or 18-hour flight, which would mean missing a day of work.
“In my opinion he has made the correct choice by staying with us.”
