CONCACAF is pushing for a fourth spot, but that would mean a team would have to miss out from another continent.
The Asian confederation insists it will accept nothing less than four and a half spots, whilst South America hope that they will keep their four and a half, giving them potentially six representatives in 2014 in addition to hosts Brazil.
