The 33-year-old has signed two similar deals with Pompey already this season, but is yet to appear for the club.
“It feels right here – it always has done,” he told the club’s official website.
“It’s always been an ambition of mine to be here, so I’m over the moon.
“Jamie and I get on really well. At the moment he’s playing really well but I’ll just keep working hard and if I get my chance then I’ll do my best for the club.”
