The 25-year-old has been a key player for United in recent seasons and the club is ready to start talks over a contract extension, according to News of the World.
Fletcher’s current contract with United keeps him at the club until 2012 and was signed just 12 months ago.
The Scot is currently earning around £50,000-a-week, but the new deal will see him earn close to £70,000-a-week.
