The Brazilian keeper made several impressive saves in the first leg against Manchester United in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
Cesar said: “I really like Ronaldo but Rooney even more so, as he is very quick and sharp.
“He only played for a few minutes and nearly scored a goal.
“I expect he will start in Manchester and we have to be very careful around him in the second leg.”
