Home England Kapo to leave Wigan

Kapo to leave Wigan

Kapo, who joined the Latics last summer, is keen on a return to France in the summer.

“Will I leave the club at the end of the season? Yes, that is for sure. However, I remain focused on the club until then,” the 29-year-old told Aujourd’hui Sport.

“I don’t know why I play so rarely. I am fine mentally and physically. It is just a problem between the coach and myself.

“I want to bounce back, show that I am not a has-been. I have definitely not given up in England, but I am also keen to go back to France. It will all depend on the opportunities.”

“Maybe I made a mistake by following him (Steve Bruce),” he added.

“I have never been at ease at Wigan, since the very first day. I have been disappointed by the team’s performances. When you are used to playing every weekend, it is difficult to suddenly be left out.

“I never had any talks with Steve Bruce. Maybe I am suffering from a bad image. The press has said a lot of unfair things about me.

“Sometimes I feel like I’m a 10-year-old kid asking to play.”
