Since Mr Thaksin’s assets have been frozen while he faces corruption charges at home, and since he didn’t declare any overseas assets which he was required to do as a serving Minister in Thailand, the current military government are set to investigate where these new funds come from.
Mr Harris, however, insisted that the funds were “legitimately and transparently transferred to the UK” and described the charges against Mr Thaksin as politically motivated by an unelected military government.
