Mancini’s City side are a prime example of the lack of mental strength, with the likes of Emmanuel Adebayor and Mario Balotelli being shorn of the required mental ability to maintain consistency at the top level
“When I was a player 15 or 20 years ago we were mentally stronger than they are now,” said Mancini.
“Why are they less strong? We were hungry then, we had less money and we wanted to become top players. We were prepared to give up everything for this.”
