Newcastle boss Roeder hails Taylor

Roeder said: “To restrict a team that are flying like Chelsea to such few chances is great testimony not only to the way we defended but the way we battled together as a team.

“We have done well against the top four teams this season.

“Arsenal came here after battering West Ham but didn’t create a single chance.

“The fans will be very happy with that display and they have every reason to be.

“For me, Steven Taylor was superb and he only had to look to the other end of the pitch to a player like John Terry to see just where he can go.”
