The Sunday Telegraph says Lloyd is keen to enter into a confidential and exclusive deal with Pompey’s administrator, Andrew Andronikou, on Monday.
The 46-year-old will meet supporters’ groups at Fratton Park on Sunday ahead of a £30million buy-out of the club.
Lloyd is reportedly backed by a consortium including a new York hedge fund and the South African investment firm Old Mutual.
