Premier League preview – Week 29

Fulham v Swansea

Key Battle: Two teams who like to pass the ball, the playmakers Danny Murphy and Leon Britton will be key and who can get the ball moving better could be crucial

Player to Watch: Swansea had a great win last weekend and they will hope that Nathan Dyer can use his ability on the break to hurt Fulham

Talking Point: Two passing teams, this should be an open and exciting game, and Fulham have been particularly rampant in recent weeks

Prediction: 0-0

Wigan v West Brom

Key Battle: Wigan were superb last week but couldn’t score the goals needed to beat Norwich. Victor Moses will look to take his chances and get the better of a West Brom defence marshalled by Gareth McAuley.

Player to Watch: Wigan looked good after Mohamed Diame came on last week and he may be key here again

Talking Point: Wigan have been poor at home and West Brom superb away – surely an away win here?

Prediction: 1-0

Wolves v Man Utd

Key Battle: Wolves are in poor form and will need Roger Johnson to be at his best to stifle Wayne Rooney.

Player to Watch: Ashley Young has been great of late for United and they will hope he can inspire them

Talking Point: United have just been knocked out of Europe but surely they couldn’t have picked a better match to come into

Prediction: 0-3

Newcastle v Norwich

Key Battle: Newcastle will hope Demba Ba can put Norwich to the sword and Elliot Ward will hope to keep him and them out.

Player to Watch: Hatem Ben Arfa showed his quality against Arsenal and if picked he could do the same here

Talking Point: Newcastle were impressive in defeat against Arsenal and will look to get back to winning ways

Prediction: 3-1

Aston Villa v Bolton

Key Battle: Two teams struggling, and it is a game in which strikers may be key with Gabby Agbonlahor and Ivan Klasnic the most likely sources of goals

Player to Watch: Charles N’Zogbia is a rarity – a Villa player with flair, and they will hope he can show his skill here

Talking Point: If Bolton can win this they can drag Villa into relegation trouble.

Prediction: 0-2

Blackburn v Sunderland

Key Battle: Blackburn are competing well in the battle against relegation and Junior Hoilett was superb against Sunderland last week – they will hope he can reproduce that form up against Kieran Richardson on the Sunderland left.

Player to Watch: Sunderland are without Stephane Sessegnon so will hope Nicklas Bendtner can do something useful for them in his absence.

Talking Point: Blackburn come into this game with confidence and Sunderland have little to play for

Prediction: 1-0

Man City v Chelsea

Key Battle: Man City need three points and Sergio Aguero will be up against a Chelsea backline with John Terry in it – potentially lucratively.

Player to Watch: David Silva has yet to regain his form of early season but the sooner he can do that the more chance City will have to beat teams like Chelsea.

Talking Point: Chelsea may start to feel fatigue with all their games but this is a huge match for them. Will they go for a defensive set up?

Prediction: 0-0

Tottenham v Stoke

Key Battle: Emmanuel Adebayor v Ryan Shawcross is key here. A big skilful forward against a big but limited defender.

Player to Watch: Gareth Bale has been out of position in some of Tottenham’s recent games but if played on the left he could get back to his best form.

Talking Point: Tottenham need to return to winning ways – can they do that here?

Prediction: 2-0

Everton v Arsenal

Key Battle: Everton’s Phil Jagielka will have his work cut out to keep out Robin van Persie, who is in sensational form.

Player to Watch: Theo Walcott was brilliant against Newcastle in Arsenal’s last game – can he keep up the good form?

Talking Point: A tough away match for Arsenal – can they keep up an impressive winning run?

Prediction: 0-0

QPR v Liverpool

Key Battle: Djibril Cisse is up against his former team and a Liverpool defence marshalled by Daniel Agger

Player to Watch: Steven Gerrard was brilliant against Everton and will hope to continue in that vain here

Talking point: QPR desperately need the points, but they are no match for Liverpool, surely

Prediction: 0-4
