Sidwell’s contract with Reading expires at the end of the season.
He told the Reading Evening Post: “It’s that time of year again after the window when there is a lot of speculation.
“Because of my contract situation, I understand there will be speculation but, as long as I am wearing the Reading shirt, I will continue to give my all.
“I am sitting tight until the summer.
“If we did qualify for Europe, then that would really make me sit up and take notice. I would be stupid if I didn’t but I need to look at the whole picture.”
