The Chelsea skipper believes the future is bright for England.
“We’re delighted to come here and beat a very strong German side,” Terry told Sky Sports News.
“We will take that all day long. It was a friendly but we have learnt a lot, not only on the pitch, but around the camp as well.
“I said yesterday the youngsters are fearless and they showed that tonight so it is very encouraging signs for the future.
“We’re playing well at the moment, not only with first-team regular but the youngsters are also pushing.”
