Van Persie opened talks with the Gunners in November, according to News of the World.
Reports claim that he in the begining of negotiations would be willing to settle on around £65,000-a-week.
It is believed the Gunners are ready to agree to a deal worth a little below £80,000-a-week, but will also include some performance-related clauses.
