Wenger has spoken to Stuart Pearce about Wilshere and he wants him to rest ahead of next season after a gruelling campaign.
“Indirectly it is his issue because he will lose a player at the start of the season, as I will. He continues to play at the moment but we know from our stats that he has hit the wall a little bit,” said Wenger.
