The New York Red Bulls defender has impressed on trial with the Baggies and Hodgson is considering signing the player on a loan deal.
“He did well,” Hodgson told the club’s official website. “He’s made a good impression upon everyone.
“We think he’s going to be a good player. We’d consider a loan for the second half of the season – absolutely.
“I think the principal discussion with regard to a loan or a purchase of Tim Ream would have to be made with the club with whom he signed a contract – New York Red Bulls.
“I think he could play in the Premier League.”
