PSV Eindhoven have ruled out smashing their wage ceiling to keep Sweden striker Ola Toivonen at the club.
Toivonen’s contract with PSV Eindhoven is set to expire at the end of the season and thes triker is yet to agree a new deal.
The 27-year-old is reportedly one of PSV’s highest-earning players.
PSV manager Phillip Cocu told Voetbal International: “This [structure] applies not only for Ola, but also for all the other players. I’m not saying it will be broken, but we have never made an exception and at this time it is not necessary.”
Toivonen has been linked with the likes of Norwich, Newcastle United and Fiorentina.
