Van Persie’s injury was not as serious as first feared.
The Holland international partially raptured a right ankle ligament following a challenge with Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini in a international friendly on Saturday.
It was first feared the striker could miss the rest of the season.
“The prognosis is that I will be out for four to six weeks,” van Persie told the Dutch television station NOS.
Van Persie will miss Arsenal’s important clash with Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium on 29th November.
