Middlesbrough are looking for a new manager after Gordon Strachan left the club on Monday.
Ravanelli told The Sun: “It is my dream to manage Middlesbrough and I’m determined to make it happen.
“I have very happy memories of the club and would love to return. Steve Gibson (chairman) is a great man and I spoke to him every day when I was a player.
“England is the place to manage because only there do the clubs invest a lot of time and energy in their managers.
“I have my licence to coach and have done all my badges.
“My target is definitely to manage a club like Boro. It would be great if my dream came true.”
