Nigerian Michael Emenalo has taken Wilkins’ role at the club, but both Wilkins and the Chelsea squad were surprised by the sudden change, given his popularity both within and outside the Premiership club.
Wilkins confirmed that he was far from happy when he suggested over the weekend that he was seeking advice relating to “a number of questions arising from my undoubtedly unfair dismissal.”
