Lampard and Chelsea have reached a compromise after being locked in a stalemant over his wage demands.
A source close to Lampard said: “The two sides are very close. The signs are everything will be sorted within the next week or so.”
It has been reported that Lampard could invoke a FIFA ruling which allows him to buy out the final two years of his contract.
