The 26-year-old has been linked with both Manchester United and Bayern Munich.
“I have said all the time that something will happen in the winter window, but I could be mistaken,” Aalesund sports director Henrik Hoff told VG.
“As big as the interest is, it would be strange in case we don’t receive a serious offer.
“I know that some British clubs are keeping tabs, but I don’t know how strong their interest is.”
