Van Bommel’s current contract with the Rossoneri is set to expire at the end of the season and the midfielder has long been linked with a return to PSV Eindhoven.
Van Bommel left PSV Eindhoven to join Spanish giants Barcelona in 2005.
PSV sporting director Marcel Brands has confirmed that they have offered the 34-year-old a contract.
“The ball is now in Mark’s court. We are in talks,” Brands tod the Eindhovens Dagblad.
