The Frenchman labelled the victory as a ‘massive result’ for the Gunners, who are within six points of the Premier League leaders Chelsea.
He told Sky Sports: “It is a massive night for the club. To be back within six points (of leaders Chelsea) is great for us.
“It is a massive result for us because we had a massive disappointment in the last two games.
“We have shown great mental strength and solidarity against a very well-organised team.
“It was very difficult. Liverpool played very well. It was very tight.
“But we refused to give up and we came back with a convincing victory.
“Liverpool are a very good side going forward. (Steven) Gerrard is always on the ball and they are dangerous.
“But we defended well and were resilient and determined. At the end we got a great goal. We could have maybe had one or two more.”
