Bridge was set to move to West Ham, but the Hammers refused to pay the defender’s £80,000-a-week City wages.
The Mirror reports that Villa are now set to tie up a deal for Bridge that will keep him at Villa Park until the end of the season.
The deal could become permanent at the end of the season.
