The Chile international sustained the injury during Saturday’s Primera Liga clash at Real Sociedad.
The 22-year-old was forced off during the first half of the 2-2 draw and it was later revealed that the winger had torn a muscle in the back of his right leg.
The initial prognosis is that the winger will be out of action for between six and eight weeks, according to Barcelona’s official website.
