The 23-year-old joined Spurs from Newcastle, who had been relegated from the Premier League, in a £8million deal in August.
“I can breathe now,” he said in The Guardian. “Last year it was very difficult to feel good.
“When you fight relegation it is very different to what I experience today. I come into training and I am happy.
“I can look forward to the rest of this season. In my mind, it is another world.”
