The Blues took a huge step towards the Premier League title as they only need to beat Wigan at home to win it.
Ancelotti told Sky Sports: “It was a very important step in the fight for the title. We played very well and deserved to win.
“It was a fantastic result and a fantastic performance, but we know we have to wait until the last game against Wigan and stay focused.
“We are happy tonight because it was a difficult step against Liverpool at Anfield. We played very well with personality, courage and tactically very well.
“We are in a very good situation and will stay focused for the next game.
“We always said that this Premier League would be decided at the end of the season in the last game and I think it will be so.”
